Dear Ms. McNair,
My name is Devren Pino. I am 17 years old and my birthday is April 18th. My strengths are writing and reading. My weaknesses are spelling and using punctuation. I’m just ready to go more in depth in the class.
I live with my mom, but I see my step-dad every 2 weeks. I have 22 siblings, my mom has one and my dad has 21. I used to live in Seattle, Washington and Ellenwood, Georgia. I know a little bit of spanish. Lastly, I have 3 dogs, a pitbull, border collie, and bulldog.
My hobbies and interests are football, cooking, and joining the Navy. I used to play the piano, but my two favorite things are cooking and football. The reason being that cooking helps me meantally by getting all the negativity off my mind.
My english classes in the past were chill and the work was in between easy and hard. My 11th grade teacher was Mr. Evans, he was a good teacher and I liked the way he taught. I need help with punctuation and spelling. I like to read sports books. My expectations for this class are that it will help me build my writing.
Lastly, heroism viewed in my culture is somebody that made it, and giving back to the neighborhood. Another way is seeing any women being abused, you as a man stopping it by any means. Cowardice viewed in my culture is beating on any woman and watching your close friend get beat up. The one time I was challenged with bravery is when I saw a girl get beat on by her boyfriend. I couldn't go over there cause I would lose my job, so I just called security.
